मेरा गाँव – निबंध हिंदी में
भारतवर्ष ग्रामों का देश है. अधिकतर लोगों के घर देहातों में हैं. कुछ लोग हो सकते हैं जिनका घर किसी ग्राम में नहीं हो, परन्तु ऐसे लोग बहुत कम हैं. मेरा घर एक ग्राम में है. कभी यह सम्पन्न था.
मेरे ग्राम ने अपना यश खो दिया है. नौकरी करने वाले लोग घर छोड़कर शहर में रहते हैं. हजाम, धोबी और चमार गाँव के खेतिहरों की निर्दयता से शहर में शरण खोजने के लिए चले गये हैं. रेलवे स्टेशन से मिलाने के लिए कोई सड़क नहीं जो इससे दो मील की दूरी पर है. सड़कें गन्दी हैं. घरों में हवा आने का कोई प्रबन्ध नहीं है.
बीमारी के समय लोगों को दवा नहीं मिल पाती. किसानों का जीवन दुःखमय बीतता है. कभीकभी उनकी फसलें बर्बाद हो जाती हैं. महाजनों द्वारा वे सताये जाते हैं. लड़कों के लिए माध्यमिक विद्यालय है. लड़कियों को शिक्षा नही मिलती है. प्राय: यहाँ मिट्टी के घर बने हुए रहते हैं. चोरी और डकैती भी अधिक होने लगी है.
गाँव की जनंसख्या पहले बहुत अधिक थी, लेकिन अब ऐसा नहीं है. अधिकतर लोगों ने इसे छोड़ दिया है. गाँव में ब्राह्मण हैं, जो पुजारी का काम करते हैं. मवेशी रखने वाले खेती करते हैं और गाय पालते हैं. वे दूध-दही बेचते हैं.
गाँव में राजपूत और भूमिहार खेतिहर हैं. मल्लाहों के कुछ परिवार हैं, जो मछली पकड़ते हैं और बेचते हैं. कुछ मुसलमान भी वहाँ रहते हैं. वे तरकारी उपजाकर बेचते हैं. जो सरकारी नौकरी में हैं वे प्रायः शहरों में रहते हैं और छुट्टी के समय गाँव आते हैं.
किसानों को शिक्षित होना चाहिए. उनलोगों के लिए रात्रि पाठशाला होनी चाहिए. ग्रामीणों को स्वास्थ्य का नियम सिखाना चाहिए. हर गाँव में अस्पताल होना चाहिए. लड़के तथा लड़कियों को शिक्षित बनाने के लिए पुस्तकालय और उच्च विद्यालय होना चाहिए. एक सामुदायिक भवन रहना चाहिए. एक टी०वी० सेट होना चाहिए. घरेलू धंधा का भी एक केन्द्र यहाँ स्थापित करना चाहिए.

My Village – Essay in English
India is a land of villages. Most of the people have their permanent homes in villages. There may be some men who have no home in any village. But such men are rare.
My home is in a village. It was once prosperous. My village has lost its glory. It is in a miserable condition. Those who hold some services have left their home and live in towns. The barbers, the washermen and the shoe-makers — all have gone to towns to seek shelter there from the cruelty of the village landlords.
There is no road to connect it with the railway station which is two miles far from it. The streets are dirty. Houses have no proper ventilation. People do not get medicines during illness. The farmer’s life is very miserable. Their crops often fail.
They are oppressed by moneylenders. There is only one Middle School for their children. The girls have to go without education. The houses are mostly mud-built. Theft and robbery are common there.
The village was thickly populated ago but now it is not so. Most villagers have left it.
There are Brahmins in the village who act as priests. There are herdsmen who carry on cultivation and keep cows. They sell milk and curd. Rajputs and Bhumihars of the village are cultivators.
There are a few families of fishermen who catch fish and sell them. Some Mohammadans also live there. They produce vegetables and sell them. Those, who hold government posts, generally live in towns and come to the village during holidays.
The farmers should be educated. There should be Night Schools for them. The road should be cemented. There should be compost pits. The villagers should be taught the rules of health.
There should be a free dispensary. For giving education to boys and girls, there should be High Schools and libraries. A Community Hall should be built. There should be a television set. A cottage industry centre should be started.
The village should be made self-sufficient. The villagers should have the conveniences of modern life.
